EZ Retail POS 2.0 beta released (updated 7/9/09)
The beta version of EZ Retail POS 2.0 is now available. Please note that this beta version is for testing purposes only, and is not recommended for production computers. As this is the first beta release, we have attempted to test it as much as possible. However there may be some issues that arise, and we would appreciate your feedback on these issues so that we can resolve them.

In this latest update, we have completely re-written the underlying code base, allowing us to increase overall speed and stability of the application. We have completely re-designed the database system using SQL Server 2008 technology for better data integrity as well.

You will also notice a faster response time when navigating through the various screens, as well as a new look and feeel to the majority of the secondary windows. The final release will include a new design for the main transaction window to finish up the cosmetic appeal.

Please feel free to download the beta version using the links below. If you encounter any issues, errors, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can investigate the issue. We encourage your feedback, and look forward to hearing from you.

Features still to come
There are some features that are not yet complete in the beta version. We expect to have these features completed in the next couple weeks.These features are as follows:
  • Emailing receipts
  • Customer payments on account
  • Cash drawer balancing
  • User manual (intentional for testing ease-of-use)

**NOTE**
Installation time varies depending on additional software that may need to be installed onto your computer. You may experience the need to restart your machine during and/or after the installation.
