The Design
The design step involves the initial concepts and layout of the entire site. It includes choosing a website template to begin with, and deciding on the overall layout of the site. Upon completion, the customer is provided with a rough draft for approval. Once approved, the next step is to choose and register the domain name and set up any associated email accounts. This process establishes the customers presence on the web.
The Creation
The creation step involves putting each page together, including text, pictures, animation, chat rooms, messagebards, and any other items that the customer would like to have. The site is thoroughly tested throughout the development phase, and any issues are resolved before the final site is uploaded to the web server. Optimizations are included so that your site gets the highest search engine rankings possible. Once the site is active, it is then submitted to search engines so that potential customers will have a better chance of finding your site.
The Upkeep
The upkeep step includes the ability for you to modify any information that is displayed on the site. This can be done through a specialized desktop application developed specifically for your site (included in the overall price), or through a web-based interface. You may also choose to have pages added, deleted, or redesigned to meet your needs. Moderate changes are free of charge, however major changes will be charged based on project details.
